A roof for Darfur - Un toit pour le Darfur

"A roof for Darfur" is an humanitarian event, organized by Jil Dagostino and her team of expert builders and scripters, which is hosted for one week at this location. Visitors can experience the realistic view of a refugee camp, sit behind school desks, visit the photogallery, enjoy live concerts and clothing collections, and take part in the presentation of an artwork, realized by Moya for the occasion. All donations will go to Action contre la Faim and Doctors without Borders and will be used to ameliorate life conditions in Darfur.

"Un tetto per il Darfur" è un evento a scopo umanitario organizzato da Jil Dagostino e dalla sua équipe di esperti costruttori virtuali, ospitato per un'intera settimana in questa location. I visitatori potranno osservare la fedele ricostruzione di un campo profughi, sedersi fra i banchi della scuola, visitare un'esposizione fotografica, partecipare a concerti dal vivo, ammirare una collezione di vestiti tipici e assistere in anteprima alla presentazione di un'opera di Moya, realizzata per l'occasione. Tutte le offerte verranno devolute a Action contre la Faim et Medici Senza Frontiere, al fine di migliorare le condizioni di vita degli abitanti del Darfur.

Thesis Project in Second Life - PTSL

Thesis Project in Second Life aims at creating an in-world community for students who are completing their degree thesis: the project allows them to share information and knowledge, under the guidance of Communication Village's members, who organize several events and conventions, exploiting the infinite resources offered by Second Life for educational purposes. Students can deepen their research by sharing multimedia materials, bibliography and, of course, their personal experiences and impressions about their researches.

Next week a series of conferences concerning SL and education will take place at this location Wonder Island (75, 8, 24)
